Eight US states bring ChatGPT safety lawsuits, while a new report outlines NASA’s planned DAVINCI and VERITAS missions to Venus in the early 2030s.
Eight US states bring ChatGPT safety lawsuits
The Verge, citing Reuters, reports that Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho and Montana filed separate lawsuits against OpenAI. The complaints accuse the company of harming children and misleading customers about ChatGPT's safety. They allege violations of local consumer protection laws through failures to warn users about risks, presenting the states' accusations against the company.
NASA’s Venus missions have planned launch dates
Ars Technica reports that NASA's DAVINCI mission is now scheduled to launch in December 2030, a year earlier than previously planned. It will send a parachute-assisted probe through Venus's atmosphere to return surface images. VERITAS is planned for November 2032 and will map the surface using radar from orbit. Both missions remain future launches rather than spacecraft already at Venus.
